Bio

Once upon a time, in Northern California, a shy, quiet and nerdy yet optimistic boy had an early interest in musical theatre. Unfortunately, for that childhood dream, art and cinema proved to be much more interesting than everything else. Growing up in the '90s, animation was experiencing a revolution of creativity, innovation and interest in America, so it only makes sense. I'm Jason, an animation historian and artist from San Francisco, California. In this blog, I share with you my life passion. I enjoy how animation makes people laugh, cry and relate to characters in its storytelling. Aside from blogging about animation's historic legacy, I am known for smiling endlessly and will take up any challenge thrown my way.
Drawing, writing and singing are some of my favorite things to do. I love watching cartoons and movies. My biggest goal is to give younger generations inspiration. If I can make a kid smile, I know I’ve done my job! When not drawing or animating, I love reading books and comics, spending time outside, being with family, swimming, hanging out with friends, dancing, acting, listening to music, traveling, riding my bicycle, going to theme parks, and observing wildlife. I'm also an avid train and airplane enthusiast.
Currently, I am a freelance animator, story artist and character designer. Diligent and confident, I always strives to do my best and enjoy working with others. I'm bright, versatile and very anxious to learn the business.
Happy reading! Welcome to my world!
